Assistant Professor of Early American History (tenure-track)
VMI seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in early American history (the area of research specialty is open), to begin August 1, 2024. The position will fill a line opened by the retirement of a senior colleague. Teaching responsibilities include both halves of the U.S. history survey and upper-division courses in the candidate’s area of specialty. The teaching load is 3/3—with two preps—and sections limited to a maximum of 22 students.
