The Policy Studies Organization's Westphalia Press issues a call for papers for a book on impeachment. Subjects can be historical, comparative, contemporary, but must be scholarly and no more than 30 pages in length. We welcome a broad range of approaches and disciplines. Papers can deal with impeachment viz the American constitution; in various states; in cases such as with judges; impeachment's impact on specific issues, such as trade, international relations, or specific policy initiatives; on popular culture; or in the present American political situation.

After winning a presidential race characterized by scandal and bigotry, President Donald Trump has set his sights on undocumented migrants, some of  whom have lived in relative safety under President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals  (DACA) program. DACAmented youth are being detained and deported while Trump’s executive orders targeting undocumented persons are newly punishing sanctuary cities and mobilizing funds to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico.

The “Tarot and Other Methods of Divination” area at the Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association conference (Indianapolis 28-31 March 2018) is open to proposals for papers on a diverse range of divination methods: astrology, I Ching, runes, tarot, etc. Approaches may include the biographical, historical, and theoretical, as well as the analysis of professional practice and of representations in literature (poetry, prose, drama), visual art (painting, sculpture, tarot cards, comics, graphic novels), film, television, games, etc.
