Holding at the Northeast Modern Language Association in 2024, this panel aims to explore the critical issues and challenges surrounding the decolonization of education and the politics of knowledge production. The legacy of colonialism and imperialism has created enduring inequalities and power imbalances in the global education system, perpetuating dominant Western epistemologies and marginalizing alternative forms of knowledge.
