The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies announces the call for applications for the 2024 Jack and Anita Hess Faculty Seminar on "Jewish Responses to the Holocaust: Dispossession, Restitution, and Reconstructing the Home." This Seminar will explore the Holocaust through the lens of Jewish experiences of dispossession and looting during World War II, as well as processes of restitution, reparations, and rebuilding of private lives in the postwar period.

The scholarly webzine, From Balloons to Drones has just launched a group ‘Air and Space Power Bibliography’ using the open-source reference management software Zotero. The bibliography aims to (slowly) catalogue works related to air power history, theory, and current operations in their broadest sense, including space power. The bibliography is hoped to be helpful to academics, students, and practitioners alike.

3rd Paper Needed for Panel at SMH April 2024 meeting. 

I am working on putting together a panel proposal for the 2024 SMH conference and have two panelists and a commentator/chair.  We need a third paper in order to submit the panel by the 15 September deadline.

The panel is tentatively entitled “Women and War in South America.”
