FDR reorganizes the National Park Service

With Executive Order 6166, President Franklin D. Roosevelt moved administration and management of parks and monmuents from the War and Agriculture Departments to the National Park Service of the Interior Department. This order included all the national military battlefieds, the Statue of Liberty, and Abraham Lincoln Birthplaces, among many others.
