Mrs. J.D. (Fanny) Hays of Owensboro was elected during the Ky. Equal Rights Association (KERA) convention in Lexington in November 1915 as the recording secretary for KERA. This convention's minutes also showed a first-ever report from Daviess County suffrage association (page 20). Mrs. Hays was a charter member of the Daviess County club (serving as treasurer) when it began in April 1913 with 34 members. By 1915 the club numbered 300 members.
