Re: H-Diplo Roundtable XVIII, 27 on Beijing’s Economic Statecraft during the Cold War, 1949-1991

As I am researching a book on the Vietnam War that includes a revisionist account of the "Rolling Thunder" bombing program, I was intrigued by the references in the Roundtable posted on May 29, 2017 reviewing Shu Guang Zhang's Beijing's Economic Statecraft During the Cold War, 1949-1991 [http://www.tiny.cc/Roundtable-XVIII-27} to Chinese aid to North Vietnam. All of the reviewers mention Zhang’s treatment of China’s aid relationship, and Priscilla Roberts notes the book “explores in great detail” the aid relationship in a separate chapter.
