Call for Applications: AAS Northeast Asia Council Grants in Korean Studies

The AAS Northeast Asia Council (NEAC) offers Korean Studies grants as a result of generous funding from the Korea Foundation, but the grant deadline is fast approaching. 

Grants are available in the following categories: North America or Korea/Outside North America research travel; Korea conference/seminar/workshop organization; invitation of a Korea distinguished speaker (see the links below for details).

The World Wings International, Inc. Research Grant

Since its first international flight in 1927, Pan Am positioned itself as a world leader in American commercial aviation. Formed in 1959, World Wings International, Inc. (WWI) is an association of former Pan Am flight attendants that now dedicates itself to charitable activities.  This collection includes the administrative records of the organization as well as scrapbooks, photographs, membership and annual meetings files, correspondence, and financial records.

The Center for the History of Business, Technology, and Society, Hagley Museum and Library, Wilmington, Delaware is pleased to announce the recipients of grants and fellowships awarded in July, 2016.  Please note that the next deadline for applications for the exploratory and Henry Belin du Pont Fellowship is October 31th.  The H. HBI Research Awards 2016

The HBI (Hadassah-Brandeis Institute) is now accepting proposals for the 2016 cycle of Research Awards to support interdisciplinary research on topics concerning Jewish gender studies.  Scholars, activists, filmmakers, writers, and artists who are pursuing projects on broad questions of significance to the study of Jewish gender issues and/or Jewish women may apply.  There is no residency requirement.
