Research funding opportunity - please distribute

The Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) at Syracuse University Libraries invites applicants for its Alexander N. and Margaret Charters Adult Education Grants-in-Aid Program, now in its seventh year. Up to $5,000 of grants-in-aid will be awarded to researchers, scholars, and practitioners wishing to use the Charters Library collections. The actual amount of each award will depend upon the scope of the research outlined in the applicant’s proposal.

Grants in Modern Chinese History and Chinese Archaeology from the Esherick-Ye Family Foundation

The Esherick-Ye Family Foundation is pleased to announce its second annual competition for small grants of up to $5,000 to support projects in modern Chinese economic, social, and political history; or Chinese archaeology. Grants will support travel to China for research or field work. Grants are available for graduate students and untenured faculty for projects on modern Chinese history and for undergraduate and graduate students as well as untenured faculty in archaeology.

1772 Foundation grant applications now available

The 1772 Foundation, in cooperation with the New Jersey Historic Trust, offers Capital Preservation Grants, up to $15,000, available to nonprofit organizations for repair and restoration projects. The grants require a one-to-one match from the grant recipient.

Eligible applicants must have a 501(c)3 IRS designation. Schools and religious congregations are not eligible to apply.
