The American Institute for Sri Lankan Studies announces the 2018 AISLS Curriculum Development Grant competition. AISLS seeks proposals for developing instructional materials that include Sri Lanka material, which are suitable for use in introductory classes in American community colleges.

With funding from the Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) <>, the American Research Institute of the South Caucasus (ARISC) will be offering stipends for conducting lectures and/or workshops in Armenia, Azerbaijan, or Georgia. We also have funds for co-sponsoring events in the South Caucasus. Funding is available on a competitive basis.

FUNDS: GHI Doctoral and Postdoctoral Fellowships (Deadline: 1 October 2017)

The GHI awards short-term fellowships to European and North American doctoral students as well as postdoctoral scholars to pursue research projects that draw upon primary sources located in the United States. 
We are particularly interested in research projects that fit into the following fields: 
  • German and European history
  • The history of German-American relations
