Contemporary Photos of East & Southeast Asia

Colleagues: Once again as so often in the past, I am requesting photos of recent developments in East and Southeast Asia that i can use for the annual update of my textbook on the region. As a rule, as many of you know, what is most helpful are photos that reveal images, lettering or clothing styles that make it obvious that a photo is from a particular country or community and represent specific events such as the recent demonstrations in South Korea for example.

Call for Newsletter Items - ACASA (Stokes)

The Arts Council of the African Studies Association (ACASA) is inviting members to submit items for the Spring/Summer 2017 association newsletter (Deadline May 15). Items may include announcements for conferences and symposia, calls for papers and proposals, exhibitions, current publications and resources, member news, and upcoming events.

CFP Artistic Practices in Contemporary Asia Volume 7 Issue 1 (Spring 2018)

Contemporary artistic practices in Asia have long evolved and since the 1990s have grown exponentially. The increasing regional biennials and triennials, the establishment of new contemporary art museums, the success of Asian artists and the establishment of various alternative sites and models for art practices denoted the ever evolving and permutative artistic practices in contemporary Asia.
