Re: Ehlers on Higham and Parillo, 'The Influence of Airpower upon History: Statesmanship, Diplomacy, and Foreign Policy since 1903'

All:  A generally excellent review of a book that should be read in concert with Higham and Stephen's Harris's earlier _Why Air Forces Fail_ which takes up many of the same themes (and includes a chapter by Parillo on the Japanese air forces).
 
I do have one caveat to this comment:

Operation Paperclip

I would be grateful for information regarding the positive work done by Operaton Paperclip personnel which was NOT related in any way to the work they conducted in Germany. The idea is glean what benefits their presence in this country achieved that was not grounded in--was divorced from--war-time activity.
