Panel participant needed for Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations (SHAFR) Conference 2014 in Lexington, Kentucky on Religion and U.S. Foreign Policy in the 1960s. Dr. William Inboden of University of Texas-Austin will chair the panel. Two panel participants have already signed on, and we are hoping to add another.

ANN: New PhD in Comparative Ethnic Studies, Univ of Colorado

Dear friends and colleagues,

I’m pleased to announce the University of Colorado Boulder’s new PhD program in Comparative Ethnic Studies.  Our faculty employ comparative, transnational, intersectional and decolonial frameworks to study race, ethnicity, gender and sexuality.  The program is designed to be streamlined and individualized, and requires that applicants already hold a Masters degree.  Applications are due December 1.

Grant Opportunity from the African American Episcopal Historical Collection

Travel reimbursement grants are available to individuals who would like to use the African American Episcopal Historical Collection (AAEHC) for research. Faculty, graduate students, undergraduates, independent researchers, and Episcopal clergy and laypersons are encouraged to apply. Funds may be used for transportation, meals, lodging, photocopying, and other research costs.

The deadline for applications is January 15, 2014.
